Dreams of Atlantis

The Discovery
Paddling in a secret and magical cove, a beautiful young woman makes an amazing find. The Dryad and the Dragon
Hidden away from prying eyes and deep in a colourful forest, these two magical beings are enjoying getting to know each other. Resting in her roots the young dragon shows no fear of the Willow Dryad as she offers him an exotic fruit, and in return the Dryad feels very safe with her scaly companion. She hopes that they will become friends forever, and that he will visit her often with tales of the world outside of her forest realm.

I Saw 3 Ships
The inspiration for this painting came from an old nursery rhyme, called Three Ships. The last two verses go like this:
Three pretty girls were in them then,
In them then, in them then.
Three pretty girls were in them then,
On New-Year’s day in the morning.
And one could whistle, and one could sing,
And one could play the violin,
Such joy there was at my wedding,
On New-Year’s day in the morning.
The girls have become angels, and the ships sails are wings. They are sailing in a sea of dandelions, hence the dandelion seeds and the sun is a huge dandelion.
Love is in the Air
Dancing in the moonlight the lovers are transported to a world of their own. The moon becomes a glittering mirror-ball scattering rainbow stars to light up their cloudy ballroom. When love is in the air all things are possible!

Weep for the World
Looking on from above an angel is very sad, because we are not caring for our beautiful planet. Instead of nurturing all life, and not taking it for granted we insist on using up all our precious resources and putting ourselves in peril. It seems that we do not realise that this earth is the greatest wonder ever known.
